Experian extends European network with Italy office

LONDON - Experian, the data and credit services company, is further strengthening its presence in Europe with the opening of its first office in Italy.

The new launch targets the Italian market with services to improve the effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns, prospect lists, data cleansing and campaign management tools. The Italian office joins the company's other European operations in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.

Experian Marketing Services Italy will be situated in Milan and work with businesses in a number of sectors, from financial services to the automotive sector.

The company has poached Claritas' Pier Paolo Borgia as its marketing services director for Italy. He will head up the operation to drive revenues from the local direct marketing market worth €100m (£66.5m).

David Coupe, managing director of Experian's international marketing services division, said: "The launch of our Italian office demonstrates our total commitment to European growth."
