The London-based company, which opened the events space in late 2009, said the closure is "a complete business decision", and that it will not be used as a venue by its new buyer.
One Mayfair is still taking bookings until the end of December. The Grade I-listed renovated church has been a popular awards and party space for high-end, corporate clients, such as Harper’s Bazaar, Red Bull and Blackberry.
Andrew Morrow, head of events at One Events, told Event: "Although we are very sad to lose One Mayfair after five years of some of the best events in the capital, it will allow us to grow in many different avenues."
"As a business we are always adapting and with the recent openings of One Embankment and One Horse Guards, and the continuing growth of the company’s in-house catering division, One Dining, there is a lot happening with the company. We will always be on the lookout for the next new space."
