Twenty per cent of respondents received a pay increase of 2-5% in 2015, 17% saw a rise of less than 2%, while 11.5% achieved an increase of more than 10%.

Looking to the year ahead, 33% said they expected a rise of between 2-5% this year, while 30% expected no rise and 21% expected a pay increase of less than 2%.

Despite a large number of employees not seeing an increase in their wages, a high proportion of those questioned (57%) felt that they were reasonably renumerated for the work that they do.

Looking at pay scales, the majority of brand experience professionals surveyed earn less than £35k. Twenty per cent earn £25-30k, while 18% earn between £20-25k. At the other end of the scale 11% earn at least £70k.

Event will be revealing more findings from its #EventCareers survey in the coming weeks.
