I got into the event industry because I worked in a record shop when I was young, started putting on local bands and managing acts. I moved to London and the role expanded allowing me to move to the USA where I managed events, brands and music.
I have worked here since 2009.
I was attracted to this particular role because whynot! gives me the opportunity to work with some great brands and also deliver some of things I wanted to do.
Not many people know that I have hidden tattoos.
My worst experience at an event was getting my nose broken at a Napalm Death gig.
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt it’s never trust a hippy.
The best event I’ve been involved in was Malaysia Kitchen at Trafalgar Square.
If I could do it all over again I would go to law school.
The one thing I can’t stand is apathy masquerading as cool.
Outside of work I spend my time with my children.
If money were no object I could make some of my event dreams a reality.
The one event I will never miss is Glastonbury
The next 12 months will be interesting to see how the situation in the east will affect events and travel.
If I could switch places with anyone else in the industry it would be Micheal Eavis.
If I ruled the event industry I’d strive to create the best experience for the consumer and the broadest value for my brand partners to ultimately achieve the same goal.
