Event TV: Confused.com organises mass space hop in London

Price comparison site Confused.com organised a 'bounce mob' across London on Monday (26 October) to mark the end of British Summer Time.

The brand worked with agency The 10 Group to distribute hundreds of blue space hoppers across the city. The bouncing group culminated by Tower Bridge before commuting to their individual places of work.

Hoppers were spotted as far and wide as Abbey Road in north London and Westminster Bridge. The 10 Group devised and choreographed the event, which it filmed and released online.

The stunt was designed to put a smile of people’s faces before the winter blues set in. The brand also conducted research into the annual time change, reporting that 17% of Brits are in need of a pick me up when summer comes to an end.

Laura Buchan, head of PR at Confused.com, said: "Everyone knows the clocks going back signals that winter is coming and the nights are drawing in. We wanted to do something to brighten up people’s day so we sent out hundreds of blue space hoppers and before we knew it, a 'bounce mob' had descended on the capital.

"It was brilliant to see so many people come down to #JumpOnIt by bouncing on the space hoppers we had. We hope we made the darker mornings just that bit brighter for all who got involved."
