"Next year will all be about digital and technology, as more agencies such as ourselves invest in dedicated in-house teams. It’s a big area of growth for us and our digital team is always increasing. Experiential and live work go hand in hand with social media and digital.
More and more strategies are incorporating augmented and virtual reality concepts, as well as any content that is based in real time, to harness the power of social media. Interactive and personalised content, such as live streaming at events, is also on the up. Digital components now sit at the heart of any marketing campaign.
The Rugby World Cup will be an exciting opportunity for the event industry, especially as it’s being played on home turf. What we need to ensure is that not only brands, but the event’s organisers, invest in it to make sure that our industry can create authentic experiences."
