Evening Standard's good run continues

LONDON - The Evening Standard's average daily circulation jumped back up above 300,000 copies for the first time in four months, according to the October ABC figures.

The Standard's sales climbed by 3.02% month on month to 306,747 copies, while its six-month average rose 4.99% to 295,300 copies year on year. 

This monthly increase came despite the Associated Newspapers' title decreasing its bulk distribution from 126,437 copies in September to 125,804 copies in October. 

Among London's free titles, City AM posted a small increase. Its average daily circulation rose by 0.74% to 101,421 copies in October. 

The free business daily's six-month average was up by 0.11% year on year to 97,016 copies. 

News International's thelondonpaper was static, rising by just 0.02% to 500,614 copies during the period. Its six-month average was up by 1.14% year on year to 500,424 copies. 

Its rival, London Lite, reported an average daily circulation of 401,494 copies during October, up 0.11% on September. 

The title's six-month average was up 0.42% year on year to 401,107 copies.

Metro's London circulation dropped by a marginal 0.04% to 746,313 copies. Its six-month average is up by an impressive 25.37% year on year to 746,524 copies.

Metro's UK average daily circulation rose by 0.06% to 1,361,306 copies during October. Its six month average is up by 15.91% year on year to 1,359,605 copies.
