Apple has come a long way since its first advert 40 years ago and Marketing has taken a look back at the ten best ads that have helped define the brand.

The very first ad Apple ran in 1976 looked more like a flyer than an advert.

It was an advert for the Apple 1 computer and is a mass of text that is a far cry from the brand's current trademark use of white space.

Here's our favourite, Think Different from 1997.

Media: Vice to buy Pulse Films

, the independent content studio, ahead of launching a TV channel in the UK.

The move, announced by Vice this morning, follows from a partnership with Pulse which began in 2013 and saw the studio produce online content in the US.

Vice said the acquisition would bolster its programming capabilities across digital, mobile and linear TV, while Pulse would continue as an independent brand.

The two companies first worked together in 2012 on Shut Up and Play the Hits, a documentary about James Murphy, the frontman of LCD Soundsystem.

The work by AKQA on the @LaVieOnBoard Instagram account shows a canvas of 200 images showing what it is like to be on board the new train.

The squares tell different stories using animated videos and images, including a couple falling in love and OAPs having a party while on board.

Lionel Benbassat, the marketing director at Eurostar, said: "This Instagram horizontal canvas idea has immediately seduced us.

"It allows us to discover in a playful way all the features of our new trains, and it gives users a preview of their travelling experience from London to Paris."

Marketing: Minions and Star Wars licensed to sell too much junk food, say health campaigners

featuring licensed characters from popular family films.

Research by Children’s Food 北京赛车pk10 (CFC) found that high sugar foods made up the majority of food licensing deals for Minions, Frozen and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

CFC co-ordinator Malcolm Clark said the array of high sugar licensed foods on sale meant that "self-regulation has had its day," and government action was necessary to crack down on the practice.

Clark singled out Disney, which owns Star Wars and Frozen, claiming it failed to deliver on a pledge made in 2006 that 85% of food products using its branding globally would be low in fat and sugar.

Disney hit back at this, saying that it had achieved a figure of 71% by 2014 and was on track to hit its target by 2020.
