World of Tanks ads at Germany-England game raise eyebrows and smiles

A number of social media users have suggested that ads for warfare computer game World of Tanks during Saturday's football match between England and Germany were inappropriate, ill-advised, or in some cases amusing.

During the game, won 3-2 by England in Berlin's Olympiastadion, advertisements for the computer game were prominent on TV.

This provoked suggestions that it was inappropriate, with the two countries having been on opposing sides in two World Wars, and because the game started following a minute of silence for , although a large number of users were amused rather than offended.
