Euro RSCG boosts global strategy as Salzman promoted

NEW YORK - Euro RSCG Worldwide has promoted Marian Salzman to the position of executive vice-president and chief strategy officer.

In her new position, Salzman will work with account planners and business development teams to drive strategies to client companies. Salzman is also responsible for Euro RSCG's paid innovations and new-product development practice, as well as the creative business idea lab in New York. She was previously chief strategy officer.

Before joining the company in 2001, Salzman was president of the Intelligence Factory, formerly called the Brand Futures Group, at Young & Rubicam. Prior to that, she was head of TBWA's department of the future. She has also authored or co-authored 11 books on topics ranging from current affairs to the youth market.

Salzman said: "I look forward to the challenges of my expanded role and to continuing to build our presence in buzz marketing and product innovations."

Last week, David Jones was promoted to the newly created role of executive vice-president and managing director of global business at Euro RSCG Worldwide.

The agency's client roster includes Airbus, LMVH Louis Vuitton, Reckitt Benckiser, Volvo and Polaroid.
