
The chain, which is owned by the Accor Group, has created a microsite where people can upload clips of snorers and create their own "snorchestra"– snores remixed with music.
The snorchestra concept, created by MBA, aims to promote Etap Hotel’s belief that its rooms have thicker insulation than its competitors, ensuring guests have a better night’s sleep even if someone is snoring in the next room.
Site users can pass their "snorchestras" onto friends via Twitter and Facebook. The activity marks Etap Hotels’ first venture into social media in the UK. It will be supported by a viral campaign that has been seeded across targeted sites.
Site users will be entered into a prize "snore draw" to win an iPad and a night at a UK Etap hotel.
