Esporta appoints The Communications Agency to integrated account

LONDON - Esporta, the chain of health and fitness clubs, has appointed The Communications Agency to handle its integrated account.

The agency won the business following a pitch against a number of undisclosed agencies.

Louise Elstone, Esporta's head of marketing, made the appointment.

The Communications Agency will now be responsible for creating a series of campaigns spanning press, digital, DM and radio advertising for the brand.

The agency's first work will focus on the club's New Year acquisition drive, in an attempt to persuade those people who have made a new year's resolution to get fit to consider joining their local Esporta club.

The Communications Agency will work closely with Experience Communications on the business, after the communications planning agency was appointed to handle Esporta's media planning and buying account.

Adam Leigh, chief executive of The Communications Agency, said: "We are very excited about working with Esporta. it is a great brand with enormous creative potential and lots of ambition."

Esporta is a wholly owned subsidiary of the investment bank Societe Generale, and currently has 55 clubs across the UK. The club's facilities include gyms, swimming pools, racquet courts and spas.
