LONDON - ESPN's Premier League football coverage will be shown on BT Vision and Top Up TV after the Disney-backed outfit struck carriage deals with the two platforms.

As part of the commercial tie-up with Top Up TV, ESPN will be appear on channel 34 and will be available from Top Up TV for £9.99 a month.

The Disney-owned broadcaster secured the rights to 46 Barclays Premier League games for the 2009/10 season following the closure of Setanta's UK business in June.

Its coverage begins on 15 August, with the game between Everton and Arsenal. The broadcaster also offers live coverage of German, Portugese, Dutch and Scottish football.

Top UP TV, which launched in March 2004, is an on-demand service offering a range of channels and services to anyone able to receive Freeview. Ofcom figures reveal that more than 17 million UK homes are now able to receive Freeview.

ESPN recently unveiled its presenters and announced that of the English Premier League.
