Empire goes adult for 18th birthday

LONDON - Emap's film magazine Empire is to run a risqué "18-rated" sealed section for its June issue to mark its 18th birthday.

Empire goes adult for 18th birthday

The 16-page section, bound into the centre of the magazine, aims to reflect the more controversial content of films with a restricted ‘18' certificate, including a top ten of celebrity film nudes, the ten best cinematic shower scenes and the 18 best 18-certificate movie moments.

This is the first time Empire has run a sealed section, which features alongside coverage of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's latest shocker, Grindhouse, and Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson reflecting on his seminal "splatter" movies Bad Taste and Braindead.

The June issue will also come in a choice of three covers linked to the third instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
