Sony Ericsson will sponsor the Empire Film Awards for the second time this February and smart-phone owners will be able to watch the clips for the Sony Ericsson Best Scene award as MPEG4 clips on their phones. They will be available .
Contenders for the award include: '8 Mile' for the scene "the final battle"; 'Kill Bill Vol 1' for "the bride meets Vernita Green"; Brazilian hit 'City of God' for "the kid chooses between getting shot in the hand or the foot"; and 'Lord of the Rings: the Return of the King' for the scene "ride of the Rohirrim".

The P900 was launched in November 2003 as the successor to the P800 and has video recording capability, a 65,000-colour screen, widescreen format, a camera phone and PDA.
Peter Marsden, marketing director at Sony Ericsson, said: "The marrying of film and the P900 brand is a perfect fit and we're proud to be sponsoring the Empire Awards again this year."
The awards take place on February 4 at The Dorchester, London. The awards ceremony claims to be the only one voted for by the cinema-going public.
