The service, which will be available from late August, is being provided by SMS specialists Flytext. For 25p a week, teenagers will receive a text message with two celebrity "rumours".
Those subscribing to the service will receive engaging snippets such as "S Club's Rachel ran up £800 fone bill in 1mnth calling boyf Jeremy Edwards whilst wrking abroad!".
Text messaging has become a major means of communication between teenagers, with many sending more than 20 texts a day. Emap claims that SMS has a penetration rate of 80% for the teenage marketplace, and hopes to cash into a phenomenon where teenage girls highly prize having the latest gossip ahead of their friends.
Andrea Kilbourne, managing director of Emap Performance Online, said: "The Sneak text club will be a 'must have' service for all teenage girls. We'll be offering them hot-off-the-press gossip on their favourite celebrities plus promotions, competitions and other cool stuff for their phone."
