Emap hires Dryer to run online ticket service

LONDON - Emap is relaunching its online ticket sales business aloud.com and has hired GiGi Dryer, former vice-president of mobile ticketing at Scan Mobile, to run it.

Aloud.com is part of Emap Performance Interactive. Dryer has been appointed head of ticketing and will report to Emap Performance Interactive managing director Andrea Kilbourne.

Dryer has more than 15 years' experience in the ticket sales business. She launched clubtickets.co.uk, the first mobile ticketing service in the UK, and the Orange SMS ticketing service incorporating Glastonbury, T in the Park, Reading and Leeds Festivals, and The Edinburgh Festival.

She is also a former head of sport and entertainment at First Call Tickets.

Dryer will be joined on aloud.com by Simon Harper, previously editor of smashhits.net, who becomes managing editor of the ticket website. Harper will be responsible for all editorial content on the site when it relaunches in the spring.
