EIAA welcomes eight new members

LONDON - Eight new members, including companies such as Disney and CNN, have joined the European Interactive Advertising Association.

The new members include online ad network Specific Media, Smartclip, the online video ad network, and Blinkx, the video search engine. Online marketplace eBay, and LinkedIn, the professional networking site, are also to join the body.

In addition, news channel CNN International, publisher Gruner + Jahr and The Walt Disney Company are joining.

EIAA is the pan-European trade organisation for the interactive media industry. It brings together major media owners to shape the media industry’s’ interactive strategy.

The following executives will be appointed to the EIAA board:

Federico Grosso, senior vice-president of business development, Blinkx.

Didier Mormesse, senior vice-president, ad sales research & development and audience Insight, CNN International.

Alex Baillie, European commercial director, Disney Online.

Christian Kunz, director of advertising international, eBay.

Oliver von Wersch, director projects & innovations, G+J Electronic Media Sales.

Kevin Eyres, managing director Europe, LinkedIn.

Roland Schaber, co-founder and chief operating officer, Smartclip.

Rupert Staines, vice-president Europe, Specific Media.
