The incumbent agency Whitewater repitched for the account and the third agency was Bright.
The West of England-based EHS Brann agency will be tasked with helping to develop the charity's plans for integrated acquisition and strengthening donor development and retention programmes.
A key focus of the ongoing campaign will be recruiting new donor audiences to meet the charity's income growth targets.
Alison Hamer, managing director of the agency, said: "We're really excited to be working with Practical Action because they're a charity with very tangible solutions for struggling communities. We're going to be focused on driving their fundraising to enable them to take their rightful place with the big charities."
Previous campaigns produced by Whitewater have included fundraising to fit Nepalese homes with smoke-hood chimneys to stop their occupants breathing in smoke and a catalogue of Christmas gifts for the developing world such as small-scale wind turbines.
