According to bookmaker Ladbrokes, the BBC One soap has been given odds of 8/11 to win compared with 'Coronation Street''s 11/10.
'EastEnders' was previously the most popular show on television, but that crown has since slipped as the show is now regularly beaten by a revived 'Coronation Street'.
In third place is the BBC premiere of children's favourite 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' with odds of 8/1.
Another BBC show is being tipped to do well in the ratings is the 'The Vicar of Dibley' starring Dawn French, which comes in as the fourth most likely show to top the Christmas Day ratings at 10/1. The BBC 'Ten O' Clock News' comes in fifth place at 33/1.
Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush, said: "Despite the loss of ratings banker 'Only Fools and Horses', we expect the BBC to win the battle for viewers on Christmas Day."
ITV shows 'Emmerdale' (40/1), 'Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?' (40/1), children's film '102 Dalmations' (66/1) and crime drama 'Midsomer Murders' (100/1) dominate the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth spots respectively.
BBC One comedy show 'The Big Impression', featuring Alistair McGowan and Ronni Ancona impersonating the UK's favourite celebrities, is in 10th place at 100/1.
