Pride's Big Weekend drew more than 40,000 lesbian, gay and transgender people and their friends to Manchester for music and revelry in a carefully controlled ‘safe environment'.
Little Boots, Bananarama, The Human League and Peter Andre were among the performers.
Pride's Big Weekend is one of Manchester's biggest event-led annual attractions and involves the construction of more than three kilometres of security fencing around the city's famous gay village, turning a whole district of the city centre into one big ticketed party zone.
