E-RM branches out with permission-based data

LONDON - E-Relationship Marketing has branched out into the data arena with the news that it is to offer clients access to permission-based business and consumer lists.

The company has signed a number of deals with list providers to offer access to more than 10m opt-in consumer email addresses and 7.5m SMS numbers.

The lists can be sorted using a number of different categories including demographics or by an interest in a particular product, such as health or financial services.

"Our customers had been asking whether we could provide them with the data to carry out their marketing campaigns," E-RM chief executive Mike Williams, said.

Opt-in lists will be in demand from October when European legislation comes into play, demanding that companies ensure they only market to customers and prospects who have agreed for their details to be used.

"If brands have not already been collecting their customers' email addresses then it can be quite difficult to know where to go to find this information, particularly as consumers will need to have opted in to receive email communications from October," Williams said.

The data is being sourced from a variety of permission-based lists and is continually updated to ensure accuracy.
