DWP calls media planning review

The Department for Work and Pensions is reviewing its media planning requirements.

Agencies have been invited to register their interest. The brief is for shops on the government’s roster which includes Manning Gottlieb OMD, MEC and MediaCom.

The process is being run through the Crown Commercial Service. The DWP has previously chosen a different agency for each of its campaigns, but it now wants to appoint a single agency for future campaigns.

A spokeswoman said: "We are reviewing our approach to media planning, moving from individual suppliers for each campaign to a single agency which will work across all campaign activity.

"The competition is being managed by CCS through the existing media planning framework, and follows the expiry of some existing campaign contracts."
