Doddle challenges Black Friday frenzy

Doddle, the parcel service, has launched a campaign ahead of Black Friday, playing on the behaviour of shoppers at sales.

The ad by Fold7 encourages people to shop online and have the goods delivered to Doddle instead of fighting over products in stores or getting arrested.

The film shows the contrast between the crazy atmosphere during Black Friday sales and the calmer way to do things with Doddle.

The spot was created by Rod Elms and Jim Seth, and directed by Patrick Bergh through 76 Films. Blue449 handled the media planning and buying. The campaign will run on YouTube and Twitter.

Paddy Earnshaw, the chief customer officer at Doddle, said: "We wanted to create some content that brought to life the reasons why online shoppers are choosing Doddle.

"Our favourite piece of feedback from customers is that we make their lives easier. This year, there’s no need to get involved in the madness of Black Friday or Christmas in general. Sit back, shop online and get your parcels at Doddle when it suits you."
