DMG cancels Scottish Ideal Home Show

DMG World Media has cancelled its 2008 Daily Mail Ideal Home Show Scotland and shut down its Stirling office as its London version prepares to celebrate its centenary from 14 March to 6 April.

Group show manager Robin Beaman said: "I don't think that the closure will affect the London show. In fact there may well be a benefit as we may pick up some of our loyal Scottish exhibitors.

"The Daily Mail Ideal Home Show is currently doing extremely well. Stand space is almost 90% sold and we have new sponsors on board.

"While the market is tough, exciting changes to the show content and improvements to the overall visitor experience will ensure that it will be a huge success."
