The activity will run from today, September 24, until the launch of the film, which is distributed by Buena Vista International, on October 10. Ads will be broadcast on all Emap's stations, including Kiss, Magic, the Big City network, Friday Night Kiss, The Hits and the digital package One Nation.
Prizes on offer as part of the on-air promotion will include tickets to the 'Finding Nemo' film premiere and party, and a holiday to the Great Barrier Reef off eastern Australia, where much of the film's action is set. Emap radio logos will also appear on Disney advertising.
Denise Parkinson, head of film at Emap Advertising, said: "This is the icing on the cake for the very long and creative partnership Emap and Buena Vista have shared over the years."
It is hoped that 'Finding Nemo', which has already become the eighth highest-grossing film of all time on its US release, will find success on this side of the Atlantic and that it will have a broad appeal.
Lee Jury, senior marketing manager at Buena Vista International UK, said: "We hope that 'Finding Nemo' will be one of the biggest movies of the year in the UK and to achieve this we must ensure that the film is communicated to a very broad demographic."
He added: "Working across Emap's entire portfolio of stations enables us to reach not only the family market for this film but the all-important regular cinema-going 15-34 audience."
'Finding Nemo' was released Stateside in May to universal acclaim and is the top-grossing film this year in the US and Canada, with over $335m (£202.4m) taken so far at the box office. It is the fifth CGI-animated film to come from the Pixar stable, which also produced 'Toy Story', 'Toy Story 2', 'A Bug's Life' and, most recently, 'Monsters Inc'.
