The village will be made up of Africa Land and Africa House.
Africa Land will include cultural and artistic performances from all over the continent, including dance, fashion, music and theatre.
There will also be a photography exhibition of legendary African sportsmen and women from previous Games. African athletes will be visiting the village every day to meet fans and showcase their medals.
Africa House will be a private area for ANOCA to meet with athletes and African Olympic family. It will host press conferences and other forums over the two weeks.
Each of the 53 African nations will be represented in the continental house – a first for the Olympic Games.
ANOCA President, Intendant Lassana Palenfo, said: "We created Africa Village to offer the public, NOCs and African athletes a unique opportunity to participate in the Olympic festivities. We are proud that for this world first, Africa Village will benefit from such a prestigious environment as Kensington Gardens."
Africa Village will be free to attend and open from 9am to 10:30pm throughout the Games.
