Debenhams is the latest store to offer sex toys for sale

LONDON - Debenhams is to introduce a range of sex toys as it becomes the latest retailer to try to capitalise on women's changing attitudes to sex.

The collection, which will be sold in 10 Debenhams stores and online from November 22, is likely to include two vibrators and a "tickle stick" made by Tabooboo, which opened a concession in Selfridges earlier this year.

The retailer is also launching a range of underwear this week by upmarket lingerie firm Myla. Midnight by Myla, which features diamante blindfolds and bras with slits, will be sold in 40 stores.

Debenhams' move into sex toys follows reports that Superdrug and Boots are in talks with Durex about stocking its "pleasure-enhancing" Play range.

Market leader Ann Summers reported that sales of sex toys doubled to 2m units in the past year.
