DDB London leads 2009 D&AD Awards nominations

LONDON - DDB London is the most nominated agency at the 2009 D&AD Awards, with ten shortlisted entries, including two for its Harvey Nichols press ad featuring Wallace and Gromit.

The agency also secured nominations for its work on the Volkswagen "enjoy everyday" ad, as well as for its "global downturn" print work for the Financial Times.

BBDO Proximity Malaysia was DDB's closest rival with  five nominations, predominantly for its work on Chrysler Korea.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty received four nominations, including two for its "break the cycle" spot for Barnardo's.

Wieden & Kennedy also received four nominations, its print work for Honda being tipped to do well at the awards ceremony in June.

Other work that received multiple nominations included Poke's "balloonacy" campaign for Orange, Droga5's "The Great Schlep" campaign for the Jewish Council for Education and Research, and the Nike "fate" work by W& K in the US.
