DCM appoints Davina Barker as sales controller

Digital Cinema Media (DCM), the cinema sales house, has appointed Davina Barker as sales controller, replacing Sufia Von Bismarck who moves to Channel Five this month.

Barker takes over this week from Von Bismarck, .

Barker comes from IDS, the Virgin Media TV-owned sales house, where she was . She started at IDS six years ago as partnerships account manager.

She will be responsible for managing the operations team at DCM and providing strategic insight in all matters relating to trading.

Barker will report to Jeremy Playle, sales director of the business, who said: "I am delighted that Davina is joining the team this week. Her commercial experience will further strengthen DCM’s position in the market, and comes at a very exciting time for the business."

In 2008, Barker was shortlisted for Media Week’s 30 Under 30 competition.
