The appointment of Daglish, who will become head of commercial development for radio at Channel 4, is a key stepping stone for C4 as it builds towards becoming a digital radio player, by launching three digital radio stations and by creating the UK's second digital radio multiplex, via its 55% stake in 4 Digital Group, the planned multiplex's operator.

Reporting to C4 director of radio, Bob Shennan, and sales director Andy Barnes, Daglish will manage advertising sales across E4 Radio, Channel 4 Radio and Pure 4 radio.

Starting at the end of November, Daglish said: "I am simply looking for people who have the expertise to sell across multiple platforms."
