Conde Nast, publisher of magazines including Vogue and Vanity Fair, will look at putting more of its magazines on to the iPhone, the company's chief executive, Chuck Townsend, said, signalling an end to the firm division at the company between print media and online.
The first GQ will be available in November through the Apple iTunes store. With the entire magazine being made available to download, sales will count towards GQ's Audit Bureau of Circulations figure.
It will include features such as the ability to hear songs by bands mentioned and the option to visit advertisers' websites by tapping on their ads.
Other iPhone apps created by Conde Nast include a recipe app, tying in with the food website Epicurious, and an app from Sports Illustrated, featuring the magazine's famed swimsuit models.
