CNBC partners LinkedIn for content-share deal

LONDON - Business broadcaster CNBC and professional network LinkedIn have formed an alliance designed to share content and jointly develop new products.

Under the deal, CNBC content will be distributed across the LinkedIn network, while LinkedIn networking functionality will be linked into CNBC.com. The partners will also work on the joint development of products and content for CNBC.

Programming initiatives will include community-generated content from the LinkedIn community for broadcast on CNBC.

CNBC will offer CNBC text, articles and blogs, financial data and video content selected from its on-air interviews that are broadcast each day to LinkedIn’s global user base.

The deal will extend CNBC’s reach to LinkedIn’s 27 million users worldwide.
