LONDON - Contact lens manufacturer Ciba Vision is launching a promotional campaign to encourage teenagers to consider using lenses.

Only 2% of UK teens who require vision correction wear lenses compared to 26% in the US, according to Ciba Vision. Additionally only 30% of contact lens fits to teenagers are suggested by an optician.

The promotion, created by Haygarth, offers free Odeon cinema tickets to consumers who enter in unique on-pack codes. Marketing support will include outdoor and in-store POS.

Ciba Vision is also running a direct highlighting to opticians the benefits of selling in contact lenses to teenagers.
