Chantelle rises to stardom with search for her own lookalike

LONDON - 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner and non celebrity Chantelle's days of impersonating Paris Hilton appear to be over, with her former agency Fake Faces searching for a lookalike Chantelle Houghton.

More than 7m people tuned in to Channel 4 on Friday to watch the Essex-born promotions girl and office temp beat all the other "real" celebrities, after winning over the audience with her bubbly and easy-going personality, and blossoming friendship with Preston.

Now the 22-year-old has been taken on by PR guru Max Clifford, who claims she could soon be a millionaire with advertisers, magazine editors and TV executives lining up to offer the pretty blonde modelling and presenting contracts. She is also likely to record the song she had to pretend was her hit, 'I Want It Right Now', and release it.

On leaving the house Chantelle, who won a surprise £25,000, held her head in her hands and screamed "Oh my God", as she was greeted with cheers and a large firework display.

This series of 'Celebrity Big Brother' has pulled in an average audience of 4.5m an episode and an average 19% share of available audience -- up 11% on last year.

The finale, in which Michael Barrymore came second, attracted a peak audience of 7.5m with 40% share of the audience, as non-celebrity Chantelle gained her official celebrity status by winning the show. This figure was up by almost 2m viewers compared with last year's 'Celebrity Big Brother' finale.

The earlier show attracted 6m viewers and a 25% share peaking at 6.8m and a 28% share as Traci Bingham, Pete Burns and Preston were voted out of the house.

Nearly 3m votes were cast during the series, with an estimated £480,000 raised for charity over the 23-day run. Last year's winner, Happy Monday's dancer Bez, raised £262,000 for charity with 1,048,007 votes cast over the 18 days.
