Bookmakers Paddy Power were forced to cut Chantelle's odds on winning the Channel 4 series from 5/6 to 1/5 last night after a last-minute flurry of bets.
Paddy Power, head of communications for the bookie, said: "Having survived the Wednesday eviction, Chantelle's odds have plummeted from 5/6 to 1/5 as late-comers rush to back the blonde. If punters are voting as well as betting, there's only going to be one winner."
Next in the pecking order is Ordinary Boys singer/guitarist Preston, who has flirted with Chantelle throughout the show, on odds of 7/1. Shamed TV presenter Michael Barrymore is third favourite to win with odds of 10/1.
Former 'Baywatch' actress Traci Bingham is rank outsider on 80/1, while Welsh rapper Maggot and former Dead or Alive frontman Pete Burns are in the middle with odds of 14/1 and 25/1 respectively.
Paris Hilton-lookalike Chantelle was the first contestant to enter the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house three weeks ago in a surprise 'Big Brother' twist.
She had to convince the other 10 celebrities she was in a girl band called Kandyfloss whose biggest hit single was called 'I Want it Right Now'.
The 22-year-old passed the task despite not being able to sing and forgetting the words to her "hit" single when asked to perform by Big Brother. If she had failed, she would have faced instant eviction.
Whether Chantelle wins or not, Channel 4 has successfully made a "celebrity" out of a "nobody" or possibly a wannabe. It was reported that the Essex blonde is being sought by Travelodge to star in a £500,000 ad campaign because her friends call her Paris Travelodge, mocking her as a budget version of the Hilton hotel chain.
Record industry bosses are reportedly keen to make Chantelle a real pop star by releasing 'I Want It Right Now' as a single in the charts.
Meanwhile, former NBA basketball player Dennis Rodman, who was evicted on Wednesday's double eviction with Respect MP George Galloway, has been signed by Brighton Bears to play in a one-off match on Saturday.
The Bears team could extend Rodman's contract if the experiment proves successful.
