Catalina strengthens management team

LONDON - Catalina Marketing has bolstered its senior management team in preparation for future expansion of the business.

The company, which specialises in behaviour-based marketing, has appointed two employees from its US division. Angee Walls joins as executive director for UK retail sales, from the same role in the US, where she worked with retailers Supervalu, Albertsons and Safeway.

Nicole Shulte, previously director of business development in the US, has been appointed as manufacturing sales director. Shulte, who has worked with brands such as General Mills and SC Johnson, will be responsible for the development of Catalina's business relationships with FMCG suppliers in the UK.

In addition, Barry O'Brien has been appointed as operations director. He was previously at ID Data Systems, where he was involved in the launch of the Nectar card scheme.

Earlier this year, Catalina Marketing launched an in-store coupon scheme with Somerfield that allows suppliers to target customers directly with instant promotions tailored to purchase on each shopping trip.
