Casualty beats Mr & Mrs to Saturday night audience

LONDON - BBC 1 triumphed in Saturday night's peak time viewing slot with 'Casualty' bringing in 5.8 million viewers for the broadcaster.

The hospital drama gave the BBC a 24.4% share, beating ITV1’s offering of 'All Star Mr & Mrs', which attracted 4.5 million viewers and an 18.4% share.

Channel 4's 'Celebrity Big Brother' pulled in 2.5 million giving the channel an 11% share (which includes ratings for Channel 4+1).

BBC Two's Saturday night episode of 'QI XL' brought in 2 million viewers and a 8.2% share beating 'Five’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' which also aired at 9pm and was watched by 1.2 million viewers, with a 4.8% share.
