Carphone Warehouse's UK Geek Squad marketer departs

The company, which is owned by the US electrical retailer Best Buy, teamed up with the Carphone Warehouse in a joint-venture deal to launch the computer support service in the UK in 2007.

A Carphone Warehouse spokesman said: ‘During his time with the company he has driven the brand's development and growth of the business. We wish him every success in his future.'

It has not been confirmed if he will be replaced.

In October, Carphone Warehouse opened a new concept store in the Westfield development in London, which houses new areas dedicated to gaming, on-demand TV, Apple products and a Geek Squad service counter.
