Carlsberg debuts wine range with SiebertHead identity

LONDON - Design agency SiebertHead has created the branding identity for Invenio, Carlsberg's first foray into the wine market.

Invenio, which incorporates wines from eight countries, including Chile, South Africa and France, will be marketed by Carlsberg as a "global product" that will appeal to wine enthusiasts across the world.

SiebertHead has created the branding identity for Invenio, which is Latin for, "to discover", including the gold font and design for the product's red, white and rose ranges. Artist Ruth Palmer has created eight illustrations featuring landscape designs to denote the country of origin for each wine.

Tim Corvin, managing director of SiebertHead, said: "Often wines from different countries of origin have their own country style, whereas Invenio needed to be global not local."

The eight locations featuring in the wine range are Chile, South Africa, California, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Australia.

In April, SiebertHead created the design for Heineken's Alpine wheat beer brand Edelweiss Snowfresh. The agency also lists Dunhill, Holsten International and Toblerone among its clients.
