Kirtley’s latest role was at City Events as operations and event manager, delivering projects such as Polo in the Park in Fulham and Coutts Polo at the Palace in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He will take responsibility for a number of events for Captive Minds’ clients including Glenfiddich, the ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 for Wool and the Kendal Mountain Festival.

Aylward joins Captive Minds after a four-year stint at experiential agency N2O, where she worked her way up to senior account manager on accounts such as Unilever and Superdrug. Her role at Captive Minds will see her handle the company’s latest client win, Lapland UK, and implement new resource management, traffic and tracking processes through new software.

Both Kirtley and Aylward will report to client services director Julian Staveley, who joined the company from Wasserman Experience at the end of 2013. Kirtley's role will enable Staveley to focus on strategic client development.

Staveley said: "As their CVs testify, Richard and Emily are best-in-class talents in their respective fields. Captive Minds has found adventure to be a particularly rich source of compelling content, and Richard exemplifies our recruitment policy of finding professionals who actually walk the talk in the adventure space. Meanwhile, his events experience will add to our capabilities for several large-scale, ambitious projects already in the pipeline.

"Emily brings exceptional client-servicing skills. She is the perfect person to implement our new systems, interfacing between clients and across the agency’s PR, social media and broadcast staff."

Captive Minds recently announced three new City investors and the integration of talent management company Unsigned Group at a party held at One Marylebone, London. It also added live music promoter Harvey Goldsmith to its new advisory board as chairman.
