The online ad shows Grylls touring one of the Rugby World Cup stadia with Getty Images’ rugby photographer Dave Rogers.

The pair talk through the best moments Rogers captured in camera, including Jonny Wilkinson’s famous 2003 dropped goal against Australia.

The film is part of a wider Canon video series on action photography, with Bear Grylls and Dave Rogers giving tips on capturing action shots as the tournament draws near.

Nigel Taylor, consumer imaging marketing communications director at Canon Europe, said:  "Bear’s adventurous personality and ethos of hard work, dedication and team spirit embodies the survival of the fittest mantra that is rugby.

"As an explorer and adventurer, Bear perfectly mirrors our desire to invite consumers to look deeper at the world and inspire people to capture the enriching and captivating stories that unfold all around, every day."

Canon is also offering consumers a chance to shadow a Getty Images photographer at a Rugby World Cup training session as part of an online competition.
