Samsung has now signed up England rugby stars George Ford, Joe Launchbury and Jonathan Joseph as brand ambassadors. The three will feature in what Samsung is describing as its first multi-platform, brand-led rugby campaign, called the Samsung School of Rugby.
As yet, Samsung has released little detail on what the School of Rugby entails, or how it will be using its three new ambassadors. The intention is to raise awareness of Samsung’s "commitment" to boosting the fan experience through tech.
The company is also offering all RFU clubs a discount on new digital display screens for their club houses.
Samsung’s chief marketing officer, Russell Taylor, said: "At Samsung we take pride in bringing sports fans closer to their passions and creating unforgettable experiences through our technology.
"We are delighted to be working with three outstanding players as we head into an incredibly exciting few months for England Rugby and rugby fans everywhere."
The news comes as more brands step up their activity ahead of the Rugby World Cup, which kicks off in September with England as host nation.
