The brand has launched an email push with a link to a Wispa Gold . There it announces plans to launch a nationwide poster campaign and as a "thank you" for the support shown to Wispa it is offering consumers the chance to run their own message on the sites.
The campaign, created by Fallon, is set to launch early September when Wispa Gold goes back on sale.
Handing consumers the chance to contribute to advertising campaigns is currently in vogue with brands. , and are all asking or planning to ask consumers to create content.
Those wanting to enter messages as part of the Wispa campaign can do so either by uploading drawings or artwork to the site. Additionally if consumers are reluctant to design a poster themselves Cadbury will accept the message text and do it for them.
The site states: "We've decided to give our advertising space to you guys as a thank you for all the love you've shown to Wispa. We have bought thousands of billboards all over the UK and Ireland so that you can share your special messages with the world.
"Yes that's right, you let us know your special message and if it gets selected we will post it on a real billboard in the location of your choice. So if your mum lives in Birmingham you could post her a special message, say a poem, and we'll try to give you a site as near to her as possible."
Wispa Gold has been relaunched following a Facebook campaign where over 22,000 people joined the group ‘Bring back Cadbury's Wispa Gold'.
