BT mailshot to explain the benefits of broadband

LONDON - BT is targeting 500,000 customers with a catalogue to help them make informed decisions when buying broadband technology.

The BT Direct catalogue explains the technology to consumers and promotes BT broadband products across areas such as digital music, photography, computing and home networking. It also features non-BT ranges.

The catalogue carries the strapline "Browse, discover, and buy with BT Direct".

The work is the first activity for the brand by marketing agency 999 Design, which BT recently added to its roster.

In March this year BT was forced to ditch a controversial press advertising campaign that accused rival ISP Tiscali of lying to its customers over the speed of its broadband service.

In the same month, BT upped the ante in the broadband market with the launch of a £19.99 a month service.
