The network has teamed up with record label BMG to bring full-length music videos to UK mobile users.
The service will launch on August 2 with a range of videos from major artists, to be released up to six weeks in advance of new single launches -- with some artists airing their latest videos first on 3's Video Jukebox.
Videos will be priced at £1.50 and will be available to stream or download to the handset. Customers are able to purchase an Unlimited Content Add-On for £10 a month giving them unlimited access to downloads.
Gareth Jones, chief operating officer at 3, said: "For the first time, music fans will be able to see full-length music videos on their phone before they see it anywhere else. We're bringing the colour, glamour and theatre of the latest music releases directly to people's pockets."
The most popular videos will be presented in a music chart, which will be updated each week.
Tim Bowen, chairman BMG UK & Ireland, said: "3's new technology develops on from ringtones by giving a brand new must-have music application to consumers on the move."
3's new music video service will deliver a new music show presented by DJ Zane Lowe called Revolution, with graphics developed by digital agency Profero.
