This sponsorship deal will coincide with the launch of a new cross-country range from Equilibrium early next year.
At a height of 80cms, the series has been designed as an introduction to British Eventing for the amateur competitor. Earlier this year, the series was trialled at Mattingley and Pulborough attracting more than 80 competitors at each.
Eight Tri-Zone Training competitions are planned for next season and will take place country-wide. Dates and venues will be announced soon. Equilibrium, which develops a whole range of products for horses from boots to training aids, will provide rosettes to 10th place in all sections as well as prizes in-kind from the extensive Tri-Zone range.
Katie Wells, marketing manager at Equilibrium, said: "Eventing is a true test of horse and rider across every discipline. There are many riders out there who would love to make that first step onto the eventing ladder, but in the past have found the Introduction class too big a leap from Riding Club Hunter Trials. We hope this new series British Eventing will become even more popular."
Mike Etherington-Smith, British Eventing's sport director, said: "Equilibrium approached us looking to support amateur riders in the sport, the new training level is the ideal fit. Their support of the Tri-Zone Training competitions will really help us to give this level a thorough trial whilst providing some excellent eventing action for the sport’s largest group of riders. We look forward to working with them and developing this into a successful series."
The Tri-zone range of boots offer the horse three zones of protection where it’s needed most. The range includes the tendon, fetlock, over-reach and brushing boots.
