Twitter reappoints co-founder Jack Dorsey as CEO

Twitter will make its interim chief executive and founder of the company, Jack Dorsey, CEO, after a protracted search.

Dorsey replaces Dick Costolo, who resigned in June. He faces particular challenges, not only in making Twitter more palatable to the mainstream, but because he is also CEO of payment company Square.

Dorsey confirmed he would lead both companies. Square is thought to be moving towards an IPO.
