
M&S replaces loyalty chief with Food marketer
Marks & Spencer has reportedly fired the boss of its new Sparks loyalty scheme for allegedly using racist language, and replaced her with its Food marketing chief.
According to a report in The Sunday Times, Suzanna Broer, who joined M&S in 2014 from Dutch retailer Albert Heijn, was sacked in November for gross misconduct. She had allegedly used racist language at work.
Broer has been replaced by Nathan Ansell, previously M&S Food’s head of brand and marketing.

Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg to build AI to run home
Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has said his goal for 2016 is to build artificial intelligence (AI) to run his home and help him with his work.
Writing a post on Facebook, Zuckerberg explained how having achieved personal challenges in recent years -- such as learning Mandarin, meeting a new person every day and reading two books a month -- his next goal is to build AI "kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man", the AI butler in Hollywood’s ‘Iron Man’ movie franchise.
Zuckerberg, who recently announced plans to donate 99% of his Facebook wealth to philanthropic causes, said he will publicly share details of how his AI project progresses.
He wrote: "I'm going to start by exploring what technology is already out there. Then I'll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home -- music, lights, temperature and so on.
"I'll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell. I'll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max's room that I need to check on when I'm not with her. On the work side, it'll help me visualise data in VR to help me build better services and lead my organisations more effectively."
