What would you be if you weren't a brand manager?Lee Porte

A photographer specialising in music. I studied to be a photographer, before switching to marketing.

What attracted you to your current job?

I'd been a customer of 7digital for years before joining, and could see areas to improve on. Also, music is a key part of my life, so for me it's a natural fit.

What was your first job?

Marketing assistant for UK Trade & Investment in the South West. The people were great. It was an excellent learning opportunity.

What was your finest hour?

Persuading UK Trade & Investment that social-media marketing was essential in driving its overall marketing forward in 2008.

What's your greatest ambition?

To get my partner to actually understand what I do.

If you were a brand what would you be and why?

Burton Snowboards. We're both innovative and constantly push the boundaries.

What is your favourite ever marketing campaign?

Beck's Green Box Project was an awesome combination of print, TV, outdoor and experiential, and has had a lasting impact on the art community.

What marketing trend is dominating your job?

Mobile marketing through in-app advertising and interstitials.

What hobbies do you have?

Gym frequenter, BMX riding and photography.

What makes you angry?

Out-of-touch politicians.

What is your favourite pub?

The Oddfellows Arms in Falmouth.

What's your favourite holiday destination?

Polzeath in Cornwall.

If you could get tickets to any event, what would it be?

Clint Mansell and The Kronos Quartet at the Jazz Cafe.

If you had three wishes, what would they be?

To end arms sales, narrow the poverty gap and have a world without keys (I always forget where I put them).

What have been your best and worst freebies?

Best: set of Pantone mugs. Worst: Stereophonics CD.
